Project Overview

Public Pulse is an AI-powered citizen feedback platform designed to collect, categorize, and prioritize citizen feedback on public services. The platform uses artificial intelligence to analyze complaints and suggestions, ensuring that the local government receives the necessary information for timely intervention.

Problem Statement

Governments struggle to process and act on citizen complaints due to a lack of efficient systems for categorizing and prioritizing feedback. Citizens also feel their voices are not heard, leading to a breakdown in trust.

Solution

Public Pulse uses AI to categorize feedback into different topics (e.g., healthcare, education, public transport) and prioritize the most complained about topic while providing insights on how to handle it. A user-friendly chatbot interface ensures citizens can easily submit feedback, while real-time analytics allow government agencies to track issues effectively.

Design Process

Empathize

Interviewed citizens and government officials to understand the difficulties in feedback management.

Define

Simplified feedback submission while ensuring high-quality data for government use.

Ideate

Explored options for AI categorization, real-time notifications, and analytics dashboards.

Prototype

Developed wireframes for both the user-facing feedback system and the backend government interface.

Test

Conducted user testing with mock feedback submissions to assess AI accuracy and ease of use.

Impact

Increased citizen engagement by 40% in the first two months of use.

Enabled government departments to respond to citizen complaints 60% faster than before.

Positive feedback from government officials who appreciated the AI-powered prioritization of issues.
